How do you tell your best girl friend how you feel about her and that you want to be more than friends?

Trying to have a romantic relationship with your best friend is a very wise decision, even though society sometimes doesn't think so for some reason. Best friends make the best marriages, so go for it!

Don't rush this one. If you say it too early, she'll either be pushed away because she doesn't feel the same, or she'll think you're saying it too lightly. If the timing is wrong, you potentially run the risk of losing your best friend. Look at it this way: Over the course of your lifetime, your capacity to love someone continues to increase as you gain more life experience. Your "love" for her might now fill your entire love quota, but that's probably peanuts compared to how you'll feel about her in a few years. On the other hand, if you two are obviously mutually enamored with each other, and she happens to be wrapped snugly in your arms with her head on your shoulder on the top of a grassy plateau under the cover of a starlit midnight, now might be the time to lean into her, and with a great big grin on your face, say "Alice, I think I love you." (of course you'll use her name instead). If she doesn't seem uncomfortable you having said that, then feel free to wrap your arms a little tighter, and if she looks into your eyes, look back at hers, again with the great big grin. After that, you're on your own. In conclusion, timing is everything: if you're not to grassy plateaus at midnight yet, and you'd like to get there some day, then hold off on the weighty words. In the meantime, actions speak louder anyways. Use them instead.

Oh no no no! Do not tell her. Just gradually show her you like her. For instance, take her on a date.. like instead of acting all friendly act more, i don't know.. romantic? Then at the end of the night if the time is right, kiss her, but only on the cheek. Take things slow because it's tricky with friends.

depending on what kind of girl she is... you could say plain out "i like you" or you could take it slower by over time doing nice things for her. like getting her nice gifts on holidays or giving her a hug or just letting her know you care!

This is really cute! Basically if she seems to be interested in you and giving you signals she likes you, you should tell her exactly how you feel and hope she feels the same. However if she's constantly friend zoning you or giving you signs that she doesn't like you just ask yourself "if it worth risking your friendship" hope it all goes well 👍 good luck. X

It might be awkward, but they are your best friend so your can be honest with them. Just come out straight and tell them. If they don't like you back it's ok, you can still be friends.
