tell them that you are responsible and you will clean it and feed them. also if you had a smaller one before and you took care of your fish really good than say i took care of my other tank so i will do the same for my bigger one.

∙ 12y agoRaising fish is a great hobby. Growing up, I had several 10 gallon tanks in my bedroom, and raised a number of different Freshwater Fish.
Easiest way is to be straight forward with them. "Hey, mom, dad, I was thinking I would like to try raising fish. Would you be willing to help me get started?"
They don't have to be walked, and you don't have the smell of a litterbox. ;)
