The main test for aluminum is by using a magnet. Aluminum is not magnetic. If a steel is tested and the magnet clings to it then that is a good indication that it is not aluminum.

You cant really test it accurately, but for the info, the aluminum bats can hit a ball harder, faster, and farther.
I use a carbide tipped saw blade (100 tooth) to cut alot of aluminum, but you have irregular shaped and thin aluminum that can tear out very easily. Remember, the finer the tooth, the less tear-out, try a test piece first.
