the blind spot does not effect your vision, sort of... you see, your brain uses all the information from the picture/its vision to fill in that blind spot, in other words what you think your seeing is really not true (in your blind spot) your brain is putting what it thinks should be there.

∙ 11y agoFor the "blind spot" caused by the absence of photoreceptor cells where the optic nerve passes through the retina on its way to the brain - the brain fills in the missing spot of optic information (in both eyes) based on surrounding detail and/or information from the other eye, so the blind spot is not normally perceived.
