Land heats more rapidly and to higher temperatures than water does, and cools quicker to lower temperatures than water. Ocean temperatures are more moderate than land temperatures.

I think it depends on where the ocean is.
it is easy think about it
I think it's the squid. They both are polytrarestinates and eat kelp and algea from the bottom of the ocean. They both dwell in the dark water and tend not to be on the surface of the ocean. they are herbivores. I hope that helps :)
tide temperature salinity depth and and i cannot think of the fifth
I am not sure i think.... well the ocean acts as a large heat sink keeping around the same temperature. The ocean changes temperature slower than landmasses, so that influences the temperature overall slowing it down.
Either Arctic or Southern Ocean, depending on the season since temperature can affect the extent of ice in those oceans.
I think the density is more fresh water in the ocean
Salinity can vary because of water temperature, rivers emptying into the ocean and mixing with ocean water, ice forming or melting, evaporation and precipitation. I think temperature is the biggest reason.http://wiki.answers.com/List_the_reasons_for_variations_in_salinity_in_the_various_oceans#ixzz16sZMdZIZ
