Remove the bottom of the rear seat. Notice a small metal cover over the top of the hump. Remove the cover to expose a joint for the shift likage. This joint can loosen up over time. Realign the joint and tighten securely.
To adjust the trans linkage on a 1995 Polaris Magnum 425, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Locate the shift linkage and check for any slack or misalignment. Adjust the linkage by loosening the adjustment nut and repositioning the linkage until it aligns properly with the transmission shift lever. Finally, tighten the nut and test the shifting to ensure smooth operation.
If it is a manual trans, the shift linkage might be loose, bent, or damaged.
