If you hear a kinda rattling sound whenever you're driving but not on idle and at stand-still, then indeed your chain has too much slack. To adjust the slack you'll need to loosen the four hub bolts on the rear axle. Then you can adjust the distance of the rear hub with the two adjusting bolts (they're pointing towards the back). Clockwise increases the distance, so creating more tension and anti-clockwise is relieving the pressure and thus bringing the hub closer to the front (you'll need to push the hub towards the front probably).
Remember, there's only so much you can tighten, at some point you'll need to replace both sprockets and chain...

Loosen the axle nut and rotate the chain adjuster to the same position on both sides of the swingarm until you obtain the correct chain slack, then tighten the axle nut.

The timing chain tensioner bolt sticks out the back left side of the cylinder head. Take the timing chain cover off on the left side of the motor too see the inside to the chain tensioner.
