The S series SOHC motor very rarely blows head gaskets, but they do have an issue with the head cracking. Oil in coolant = a cracked head 99% of the time on the 1.9 SOHC motors. You may be able to see it if you pull the valve cover and look at the base of the 4th cam journal on the front side of the car, if there is a shiney spot in all the dark aluminum you just found the crack. There is a casting flaw in the heads. Clearwater cylinder heads is the best and most reputable place to get a new head.

An oil leak there is probably a valve cover gasket leaking. it would not require head gasket replacment. Try tightning the bolts on the valve cover. If that does not work then replace the valve cover gasket. Yes it could be the head gasket as there are oil passages in the head and i have heard that head gasket on saturns are prone to failure,look around the valve cover for sings of a leak hopfully that's all it is because replacing the head gasket is costly on th 1.9 sohc
