i think u have to beat the elite four in 1 of the 2 games to trade between leafgreen and sapphire. (i beat the leafgreen game 1st, b/c it was easier.) i think you just have too beat the first gym in both games. i disgree with the second answer. i tried it and it didnt work. do what the first person said.

When you beat a Pokemon in LeafGreen it didnt ask you to switch Pokemon why is that?
Assuming you are facing a trainer who has atleast one more pokémon left, it is the default setting to ask if you want to switch. If it no longer asks this, go into Options > Battle Style. Change this to Shift intead of Set.
Where can you see a Blaziken in emerald if you didnt start with a torchick?
You have to trade it with someone who has a Blaziken.
