it depends on how long you have had it, if you just got it it just has to get use to you, if you got it a while ago, then try to show them they don't need to be afraid of you by patting it softly on the head, and hold it by it's butt while your petting it.
you can train a hamster
To do what!?!?!?
You don't have to train it. If you just keep putting it on your shoulder it will be curious and crawl up. At least my hamster does.
125lbs
Yes, you can train a dog to do or not to do almost anything. <><><> However, the training can be really tough- on the hamster. Best bet- keep them apart.
yes and no cause the hamster could bit u
Yes, they can be, but it is extremely difficult to do so- even if you bought a "Hamster Potty!" I have not managed to litter train my hamster, but i do know that it is possible but unlikely.
Hi there. You can pick any type of hamster you would like but all you have to do to train it is tame it.
to me at least i think its never to late to train a hamster even tho if its getting old it might start being slow and grumpy more, you may or may not be able to train it alot but yea you can train it and hey maybe it will cooperate
A hamster might bite if it is afraid. If it is agitated it might roll over and make a defensive stance - it is best to leave the hamster alone for a bit after this. Sometimes, if a hamster is in a bad mood, it may grind its teeth. . If your hamster does any of these, just leave it in the cage for a bit. Don't try punishing it nor bribing it.
Well, my sister's hamster bit for about two years, and finally, she could not stand it so she told the hamster, "No more treats for you!"But then, being a pet spoiler, like we all are, gave the hamster a treat, but then I had an idea.I began to train him almost, to work for the treat, by making him walk to the treat, then moving it again.Sound like animal cruelty? Read on!The hamster did not bite anymore.I guess it felt humbled, like he was not king of the house. All hamsters are different, but it worked on my hamster too.
If your hamster runs away from you, it might mean that he or she is afraid of you, but it might also mean that the hamster is simply not trained. You can train a hamster to come to you by rewarding the hamster with food each time it climbs onto your hand.
