You can't. You have to download the I tunes software from apple.com/itunes. If you need further information, a book that I would recomend is The rough guide to Ipods, Itunes & music online
you can use windows media player for an ipod. you have to use itunes or something that supports ipods.
Ipods are designed to work with itunes and only itunes. Windows Media Player, being a Microsoft product is not an official client for synching ipods. You will need to install itunes or find some alternative program for updating your ipod. There is a WMP (windows media player) plugin for synching ipods from WMP... although its not free. The link is below. In the past i have had good luck synching ipods with winamp, which is free. Also linked below.
Download winamp off of the internet, it's free and can be used for other devices such as a PSP, other MP3's, etc. Also, it can be used to transfer videos too. It is similar in a way to windows media player, except it is compatible with iPods.
You can purchase music in MP3 format from sites such as Amazon mp3. These mp3 files can be played on the majority of media players such a Windows Media Player, Winamp or iTunes. You can also purchase music from the iTunes Store. However these files can only played within the iTunes player (although you can download codecs which will allow mp4 files, the file format iTunes and iPods use, to play on Windows Media Player.).
You have to rip the music from the cd. You can use windows media player. Open windows media player and click on rip button, choose which songs you want by checking the boxes next to each track, then start the rip. When it is finished, import the songs into the mp3 players software , then put the music onto your mp3. you can also put music directly from windows media player if your mp3 player supports it which most do except ipods and a few others.
You need itunes for your ipod. MP3 players will do fine with windows media player, but apple thinks they need a new music library. It is basically a library for ipods. I wish all ipods and mp3s and zunes used the same music library but they dont. hope this helped! :)
For syncing to an iPod, you can use EphPod (free) or Anapod Explorer (about $30). Both may have trouble supporting newer iPods, with Anapod having better support. For purchasing music, you may wish to stick to a web-based store, such as at Wal-Mart or Amazon MP3. For playing music, there are many free media players, such as Windows Media Player 9 or WinAmp (up to 5.35).
You can transfer music files to any mp3 player (unless the files are corrupt) but you cant use iTunes to transfer them. Only iPods work with iTunes.
The most basic difference between an iPod and an mp3 player is the format of the music. IPods use music from iTunes, whereas mp3 players use music from other systems, such as windows media player. The best iPod option is the newest option - the itouch4, because it has the newest technology and updates available.
Windows Media Player does not have ipod support. Although there is a plugin available which adds ipod support to it, it is not free.Winamp, which is free, does have ipod support. It can be downloaded at the link below. There is another freeware that supports all iPods, including iPhone and iPod Touch up to firmware 1.1.4. The interface is very similar to the one of iTunes. Library and playlists are in the left pane, songs can be dragged to the playlists. To read more, visit the link section.
just drag it to your ipods name
Many people around the world have ipods and buy ipods because it's the best music player around.
