Just watch it more closely. Theres a higher risk of infection/rejection so watch out for that. Also, take a picture of your teeth/gums in that area. Lip piercings have to be placed properly so as not to rub on your teeth/gums. Pros know what to look for and you may have placed it wrong. If you take a picture for reference, you'll be able to keep track of enamel/gum erosion and you can take the piercing out before it gets too bad. Both enamel and gum erosion are irreversible so take it seriously.
