Limping, favoring one leg over another, tiredness, energy-less
The only way to truly detect HD is by taking your dog to a vet. There are a lot of reasons a dog may show signs and none of them should be ignored.
If its a mild case vets have pain medcine just for dogs if its a bad case of hip displaysia vets do surgery.
Hip displaysia
They are prone to hip Displaysia and eye problems.
Hip displaysia would be my first guess
you can treat a brused hip with ice, rubbing the brused area, and rest.
Most of the time it means if a dog will have hip displaysia. There are test that you can get done called OFA and pinned hips. And the results some back in as Excellent, good, fair and poor those would be the rateings with Excellent being a dog that is less likely to have hip problems such as displaysia. So you wouldn't want to breed a dog that has fair hips to a dog that has fair hips as it is more likely the puppies will have hip problems. Hip problems are more common in large breeds because they have more weight on there hips. But all of this isn't usefull unless you plan on breeding elsewise none of it really matters.
My dogs favorite treat is goldfish.
The best thing to do for your dog is to take him or her in to be checked out by a Veterinarian to make sure that is all it is, a bruised hip. There are so many other things it could be such as a wound or an abscess, hip displaysia, bad back, etc. etc. You could give some baby aspirin until you see the Veterinarian but don't give any aspirin on the day of your dog's appointment with the Vet so that the Vet can see all the symptoms that your dog is showing. Check the area over thoroughly for any wounds or abscesses too.
Cats are less prone to accidents and generally less prone to illnesses than dogs. For instance, dogs are prone to cancer and hip dysplasia which costs thousands of dollars to treat. Although cats can get cancer and hip dysplasia they're far less likely to suffer from these type of diseases.
Purebred Samoyeds can have health problems such as Samoyed Hereditary Glomerulopathy (a renal disease), hip displaysia, cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetes. Purebred Huskies can have eye defects (juvenile cataracts, corneal dystrophy, progressive retinal atrophy), and dogs used for sled races are more prone to develop health problems such as gastric disease or bronchitis. There is a very low occurrence of hip dysplaysia in this breed. A mix between these two breeds could have any combination of these health problems.
Some of the symptoms of hip dysplasia in dogs are a weakness in the the hips. small muscles and on the hips and legs while having a thicker mid section.
Dogs can get many diseases just like humans. They can get arthritis, hip displasia, and diabetes.
