∙ 15y agoWell, I convinced my parents by writing a persuasive piece and that works with most things. It may be used against you in the future, but it's worth it! Make a persuasive argument, but do it in a loving way. Provide an answer to any arguments they may have like feeding it, or it won't work. To get your parents to let you get a dog, I would suggest either proving to them that you can handle it, or find the cutest dog ever... your mom will have to get it. You will include that in your persuasive piece. A parent will not cut you off when you are reading your persuasive piece.

∙ 10y agoIt is very unlikely that you are going to trick your parents into getting you a dog. You might try finding out what their reasons are for not allowing you to get a dog. If they are things you can do something about, like you not showing enough responsibility to take care of a dog, you can work on showing more responsibility and maybe they will change their minds later on.
