no. in order to burn info on the disc the computer has to recognize it as a blank disc. once any in has been put on it it will not be recognized as blank even if the disc has more space. trust me. I've tried.
basically original cds are printed rather then burned the image is printed on the siler part of the disc blank cds are the same but they are printed as blanks with disc info on them so computer can read that they are blank

Coz you burned the movie on CD rather than on DVD disc, then when you play it on your DVD player, you could only hear the sound but couldn't get the video. You need to change the CD to DVD, and reburn the movie to a blank DVD disc, then there will be no problem for you to watch it on DVD player. More details in followed link
