In order to turn the mouse of to an i mac you turn the mouse over and you should see a switch if it is bluetooth and then turn that off but if you want to disconnect it you have to go to system preferences and select mouse and then just disconnect it
Depends on what kind of mouse it is. If it is a wireless mouse just turn it off. If it is a wired mouse, unplug it.
Turn the mouse off by flipping the on/off slider on the bottom of the mouse to the off position. Replace the batteries, turn the on/off slider to the on position and set it down in front of you iMac. Wait for it to connect. If for some reason it does not want to connect, force quit your Mac by holding the power button down. Turn your Mac back on and it will connect. If not, there is something wrong with the mouse. Of course you must have bluetooth turned on and it must be discoverable. You can check to make sure this is the case by clicking the bluetooth icon on the top right of your desktop screen.
Make sure the batteries are in the right way, and are the right batteries, and are live batteries. Also check your system to see if the mouse is being detected.
You can with a program called TG Pro from Tunabelly Software.
Yes you can with a Bluetooth connection device you will have to buy. Reason being is that your G5 does not have Bluetooth built in. The Magic Mouse works off Bluetooth. You will love the Magic Mouse once you get the Bluetooth device and pair it with your mouse.
It depends if it is wireless or with a cord. If it has a cord, simply plug it into the computer using a usb plug on the back of the computer. If it is wireless, turn off the computer, turn off the mouse, turn the computer on, wait for the computer to ask for a mouse, then turn on the mouse, and the computer should pick it up within a minute or so.
Ensure that Bluetooth is On in the Bluetooth section of System Preferences. In the Mouse section of System Preferences click on the Set Up Bluetooth mouse button in the bottom right corner. If the mouse is switched on (small switch underneath - green light should be on) the iMac should discover the mouse.

Turn it off and on again
You always want to turn the wireless mouse off before you replace the batteries. The top rated laptop computers use Bluetooth technology to connect to the mouse, and it can become confused if the batteries are suddenly taken away. It will think that the mouse is still connected to the computer even though it is not. You will then have to restart the computer to reset it. If you turn the mouse off, you can avoid this problem.
You don't usually have to turn off the "mouse and keyboard" at all. On some models of the mac, the power button was on the keyboard, but pressing it starts the computer, it doesn't turn off the keyboard. If you have a wireless keyboard/mouse, then if you don't turn them off they're still running on battery power. The batteries won't last as long if you don't shut them off, but you don't HAVE to do it.
The iMac is an all-in-one computer. The monitor and computer are all in one unit. The only other hardware you need is a mouse and keyboard.
Click the Apple logo top left of the screen and from the drop down menu click Shut Down.
