Well you can't turn off AVG ability to search for spyware however you can ignore that componet. Open the AVG User Interface. Once the interface loads Click Overview. Then right click the anti spyware icon and then click ignore componet state. Now AVG will not take in account the Anti spyware componet. Which means if your anti spyware componet isn't updated AVG will not say your at risk because of it.
