Turn the camera on and press the Lv (liveview) button just above the OK button/arrows and to the right of the lcd screen. When you're ready to record, press the OK button; to stop, press it again. If you'd like to lock the exposure (so it won't change in different lighting) press the AE-L/AF-L button (it has a picture of a tiny lock to the left of it) that is to the right of the viewfinder when recording.
