if it is the check engine light that you are talking about then try taking the pos batary cable off for 10 seconds or more this some times will reset the computer and shut off this light if there is no trouble with the car if this dose not work then you must go to a dealer and have there tecks turn it off for a hefty price some times
AnswerGo to your local Auto Zone.They can hook up their reader (free!) and tell you what the computer thinks is wrong with your car.If you ask nicely, they usually will reset the computer for you. Then if the light stays off, you probably didn't have a real problem (possibly as sensor has intermittent contacts, happened to me). If the light comes back almost immediately, at least you know whats wrong.(BTW Nissan charges $65 just to tell you the same thing Autozone does)
