There is a relay to your power antenna that signals the Factory preamp to turn on thus sending power to your rear speakers. If you look in your trunk and the wiring to the power antenna if you short these out your speakers will come on.
If you have rear speakers in the tailgate, remove the cover(s) and the speaker and reach in and turn the mechanism to open
Topmost part of the assembly. Easy way to find out, is turn them on, and face the rear of the car.
uh, i think it's obvious, the WIRES carry no voltage wouldn't you say?? connect a test light in series between the positive and negative wire and turn on you radio, and turn it up to a level that you clearly hear music in other speakers. if it lights up then the wire is good, which i doubt. what you CAN do is connect 2 wires between the positive and negative tabs of your rear speakers and that should fix your problem

Pull away the black plastic cladding in the back rear corner of the trunk that covers the rear light housing, the turn indicator bulb is the bulb closet to the side of the car, turn and pull the socket and bulb out of the housing, turn and remove the bulb to remove from socket.
That is not a easy job, just because you need to push piston in, and you have to turn it at the same time, but to tak the caliper of and rotor is easy.
