Buy a Boost Controller!!!
I have the owner's guide for a 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. The '87 and '88 were the same body style, so parts are interchangable. pg 190 of ur manual
ive had a 88 turbo up to 145 on a straight road ive had a 88 turbo up to 145 on a straight road
The '87 and '88 Turbo Coupe reportedly was set up for 140HP output when coupled with the automatic transmission, and also reportedly 220HP when coupled with the manual trans.
Mazda's 13B for the 1986-88 RX-7 made 146hp without a turbo and 185hp with a turbo.
yes it will fit but you are better off buying a Thunderbird already with a v8
probably the pump power booster isn't working, may just have a bad relay. had the same thing happen on my 88 tc many years ago.
1,3,4,2
the older style turbo 400 has a point on one side of the pan in back of the transmission
I believe the 1988 Ford Thunderbird is OBD I , EEC IV ( there is probably an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment )
no different it's all the same..
i dont believe any v6 can replace a v8
You can turbo just about anything mate as long as you have the cash...lol..so yes but $$$$$$$$$$$
