That would depend on the program you are using.
There are certain superscripts that are part of the basic Unicode character set. if your superscript is not one of them then you will have to ask about the exact program you are using to write with.
Here in the Answers.com editor there are buttons for superscripts NormalSuper and subscripts NormalSub.
Each application has its own way (if it is at all possible)

go to Windows --> run --> Type "winword" a new Microsoft word document would open up.
Go onto the Internet and type in Microsoft office and then go onto the Microsoft one and click the download button.
