The Holy Spirit speaks to the born-again Christian's spirit (especially if they have the baptism in the Holy Spirit). Also though listening to preachers/teachers and one-on-one discussions/counseling with those who have more wisdom. And from circumstances: like the old saying "When God closes a door, He opens a window". Everything happens for a reason. We learn from mistakes and adversity.
