Collect 8 stars then goto the 1-star door in the upper-right corner of the first room. once in there ignore all the doors with the L, M, and W (including the one with no letter above it) and go through the door with no lock. In there, go thru the 8-star door and there's Mario's pic in there. Jump into the pic and complete the levl to get an M-key. use it to unlock the door with the M above it and Mario is inside!
