How do you unlock epona on Zelda ocarina of time?

To get Epona, first you must go to Lon Lon Ranch as a child. There you will see Talon and Malon. If you wish, you can play a minigame with Talon and his "Super Cuccos", and win a bottle of Lon Lon milk. Walk into the ranch. There you will see Malon. Talk to Malon, then take out your ocarina. Then she will teach you Epona's Song. Seven years later, when you are an adult, go back to Lon Lon Ranch. There you will see Ingo, the once lonely groundskeeper, now the owner of the ranch. Talk to Ingo, and he will ask you if you want to ride a horse for 10 rupees. Say yes. Once your in with the horses, pull out your ocarina and play Epona's song. Epona, all grown up, will gallop toward you. Then hop on Epona, and ride around a bit. After your minute is up, Ingo will kick you out of the ranch. Then walk up to Ingo again, and he will ask you if you want to ride a horse for 10 rupees. Say yes. Take out your ocarina. Play Epona's song. And once you are on Epona for the second time, walk up to Ingo, and with L targeting, talk to him from atop the horse. He should say "Hey, yer gettin' pretty good. How 'bout a race. Let's make a wager. 50 rupees?" Say yes. Then you will race Ingo around the ranch one time. If you lose, you owe him 50 rupees. If you win... "Arghhh! How did you get to train that horse so well!? Is that Epona!? Alright, alright, how 'bout a rematch. If you win, you, can keep the horse!" Say yes. Then you race Ingo one last time around the ranch. If you lose this time, you owe him 50 rupees. But if you win, Ingo starts going crazy. "Ahhh! I was going to present that horse to Ganondorf!! How? HOW DID YOU BEAT ME? Alright fine, you can keep the horse. But You can NEVER leave this ranch." Ingo will then step back a couple feet, and lock you in the ranch. But not forever. After gaining some speed on Epona, jump over the low fence, and you will be out of the ranch. Now, whenever you want Epona, just play Epona's song on the ocarina.

Didn't work? Make sure that you have Epona's Song. If you are already an adult, and you forgot about collecting the song, dont worry. After you beat the Forest Temple, you have the option to go back and forth seven years.

This depends on which Zelda game you are referring to, since Epona appears in more than one game. If you mean Ocarina of Time, you have to go to the ranch as a little kid and have the little girl (I forget her name) teach you Epona's Song on the Ocarina. Then you have to wait until after you've completed the Forest Temple. Then take 10 rupees back to the ranch, and challenge Ingo to a race. Use Epona's song to call Epona and use her for the horse race. You have to beat Ingo, or you can't get Epona. Once you win, he locks you in the ranch, and you must jump an outer wall to escape to the rest of Hyrule.

If you mean Majora's Mask, you have to wait until you've defeated Snowhead Temple, and spring returns to Snowhead. In the Goron Village there is a Goron who makes Powder Kegs, and you have to complete his task to carry one. Once you complete his task, take a powder keg and blow up the rock blocking the ranch ON THE FIRST DAY. Then a cinema scene will show you your horse once you come closer to the house. Basically, talk to Romani, and she will tell you a story about aliens. She wants you to help her defend against them, so she'll lend you the horse to train. After that, you should be able to use the horse any time, even if you don't help her defend against these random alien things.

In Twilight Princess, all you have to do is wait until a cut scene in the game. When that comes up, it reveals Bokoblins on your horse, and Epona's panicked. The Bokoblins are thrown off and she runs to you but she's frantic, so when she rears, you have to jump up on her and when the arrows point at the bottom of the screen, you have to tilt the joystick in the direction it's pointing or you'll be thrown off. If you complete the sequence without falling off, you will calm Epona down and once again have your horse.

first you go to LonLon ranch indago will be standing by the gate (inLonLon ranch) then you talk to him he will ask his you want to ride one of his hoses then call epona with (epona song you should all ready have the song) then you ride around for a little bit then you go talk to indago he will like your rideing skills then he will race you for 50 rubess then you when your raceing indago you have to WIN the first round then he will say if you win you could kep epona so then you race him agin YOU HAVE TO WIN then when you win he lets you keep epona but then he trapes you to were you cant get out but you cant get out you will see a big fance out side of the areana then you have to get a running started use a least 3 carrots(at the fence) then you will jump over the fence.

SECRET:you could get a nother horse besides epona you could get one of the other ones the brown ones do the same you would do with epona but the bad thing about that horse is that you you cant call it like epona so that means you have to remember were you left the horse.
