In melee you must compete in 1,000 matches in melee mode then defeat him, also if you get mewtwo beat classic with him and game and watch will appear beat him and you will unlock him, in brawl choose solo and go to the subspace emissary go through the levels until you beat the battleship halberd bridge level which is where you battle duon the boss, when you beat him game and watch will join your team save and quit the emissary and he will be unlocked.
