You do it by catching the ghosts that appear. You capture them using the Ghost Zapper, which you get by inventing on the work bench. I unlocked the mansion, but then my xbox froze & I had to restart it. Not sure if I can Re-unlock it, but I unlocked & decorated the other haunted house. (Not too happy about it.)
