The motherboard can be seen as the part of the computer that ties everything together. This is usually not updated. If you need a new motherboard it would probably be because you want to update another part of your computer. Once your updating a couple things, you might consider just getting a new computer (the box itself, not necessarily the screen, printer...)
On the other hand if your motherboard is broken, you may just replace it. Of course if you know enough about computers to tell that it is the motherboard that is broken you probably know how to replace it...
you must flash the bios
Of course not
You need to update the BIOS for your motherboard.
Check with the motherboard processor compatibility sheet of the motherboard you have first. A BIOS update may be needed for your current motherboard.
Sometimes you just need to update the BIOS. Other times, you may not be able to accommodate newer hardware on an old motherboard.
You need to check the motherboard manufacture website for new bios release, download it and follow installation instructions.
Try a bios update, award bios just released an update that included more CPU micro codes. The e6750 is a newer and somewhat unique processor and your board may just need an update.
Try and update all your drivers specially your motherboard.Find the manufacturer for your motherboard and download the drivers for it.be careful though because if you install the wrong update or drivers your system may not work after that.
Is there a specific piece of hardware you need an update for? All the drivers for your computer will be on the support page of the manufacturers website for free. Or on the website of the the individual piece of hardware be it the motherboard, sound card, video card etc.
To add a second processor to a computer, you need a dual-processor motherboard.
When updating your motherboards bios, you need to firstly find and download your motherboards bios update. Check the manufactures site of your motherboard. Once you find your bios update, its important that it is for your own model motherboard, then they usually include a text document with the instructions on how to install. It is usually done by a Floppy Disc and is known as "Flashing". So first find out what make and model your motherboard is, then search for the latest bios update for that particular board, download it, read the instructions that come with the download. Or search "How to update your bios". Instructions are often given with download though.
The real question is, how do you know your BIO's have a virus? If for some reason they really are corrupt. You will have to flash the firmware. If that's not possible the get another motherboard.
You may be able to update the bios or install a driver from the drive manufacturers website.
