Use your mobile phone.
You just upload it as usual and then when you go browse, go to my computer and select the USB device and upload the picture.
You can use MMS to send the photos to facebook. It works fine for one picture, but because of the costs and complexity of the process, is no choice for the upload of multiple photos. You can download the photos from your phone to your computer (using the supplied cable, USB, infrared, bluetooth, ... depending on what your computer and cell phone support). Then you can upload the photos regularly as described in the related question.
You edit the photo using photo shop or whatever program you like BEFORE you upload it to Facebook.
If you are using picstitch and chose the option to "Upload your stitch to Facebook" then a facebook popup will appear, asking you to grant access.
Most smart phones can send files directly to facebook using wireless internet. However, older phones cannot send photos to facebook unless you have a microSD card or bluetooth. Both of those require sending the photo to the computer you use and then uploading it like normal.

The latest version of iPhoto has a Facebook button (bottom right corner) which lets you upload pictures directly to Facebook. Alternatively Facebook produces a plug-in for iPhoto that will upload pictures. (See links below)
Actually .. you can't.. If you have a picture in your phone and you want it to be your Profile picture on facebook.. you Have to transfer it from your phone.. to a Computer/Laptop/Netbook/etc...

To put videos on Facebook using an HTC phone, go to your Facebook page, and select the upload photo or video option.
