if you have that option which you most likely do you need to turn the switch in the middle of the 2 front wheels all the way clockwise then get inside and move the shifter on the floor up to the desired 4x4 setting (their is a description of each setting on your driver side sunvisor)

Assuming you mean an automatic? Yes - it's in the r/h side of the radiator tank.
you can do anything if you want it bad enough. but yes you can. the 1985 S10 4x4 blazers came with 4 cylinder engines. I know because my parent bought one. it was sorely under powered though.
you cant its impossible the body mounts and everything else is different between blazers and s10s

You should use Dexron III Automatic Transmission Fluid or GM Auto-Trak II fluid which are recommended by the manufacturer. All Chevy Blazers through 1998 will hold 1.25qts.
