you just wear it then get a spell that also requires fire runes and you can just skip the fire rune part because with the staff you have unlimited fire runes.
You click on it to wield it (as if it were a weapon). Once you have the staff of fire, it will save you fire runes for any spell that requires them. For instance, a certain low-level attack requires a mind rune, a fire rune, and an air rune; if you wield the staff of fire, you save the fire rune.In the above example, a staff of air is better, because fire runes are cheaper than air runes. You would mainly want to use the staff of fire for superheating, low alchemy, or high alchemy. You click on it to wield it (as if it were a weapon). fine a gard with a staff in there hand and use A (grab) press it once to grab them press it again to throw them then and take the staff
No staff will really MAKE runes; however, some staffs will SAVE you the runes when you use the corresponding spell. Thus, by wielding a staff of fire, or one of the more advanced versions, you will need no fire runes for any spell (for instance, combat spell, or high alchemy) that normally requires them.
Answer: Yes, it depends what staff you use.?Answer: You can also shoot most spells without a staff. A staff improves your magic stats; also, certain staves (staffs) help you save runes. For example, I regularly keep a staff of air to save air runes during combat, and a staff of fire, to save fire runes during high alchemy.
