How do you use a pregnancy test?

Inside the package is the actual testing device. It will come with directions but the basics are:

1) Take the protective cover off

2) Sit on the toilet and begin to urinate

3) Place the uncovered end of the test into the stream of urine. It is not necessary to completely saturate the test.

4) Wait for the result. Different tests take differing amounts of time and have different types of indications to indicate a positive or negative test (some show 1 or 2 lines, some use a + or a - etc.)

Remember that at-home pregnancy tests have differing lengths of time you have to be pregnant before they will detect a pregnancy. The only sure way to tell if you are pregnant is to go see a health-care provider. There are many women's clinics that exist to help out with whatever health services you may need.

It depends on the test. If you take a urine hpt....usually you can either urinate on the test strip or you take a sample of your urine and then dip the stick into it. Follow the instructions.

In general, you will need to urinate on one end of the test stick (similar to what you would do at the doctor's office for a urine sample), let the test stick sit for a bit to let the chemical reaction take place, and then read the results.
