Put your action replay in your DS with HeartGold in it, and turn your DS on. A screen should appear that has a start button. You have to put the game i.d in, and I don't know what that is. Then push, "Add new code" and give the code a name and put the code in.

Just update the codes on the action replay manager. (It will say deleting current codes, but dont worry.) And then add the codes back on and then it should be already on there.
