No - the emulator should run without additional software. For example - last year, I was using a Sinclair Spectrum emulator in order to write a couple of programs to run on the Spectrum computers. All I needed to do was download the emulator - and run it as and when required from my desktop.

I have installed softwares in window xp how can i use the same in windows vista in the same PC?

This generally isn't possible. When you install a program, it usually adds special entries to the Windows Registry. These entries wouldn't be present in the registry of the other version of Windows, so the program wouldn't work correctly.

Is there a way to obtain Windows Solitaire and load it on Mac OS X?

Yes, although you will require either some sort of emulator (or a program which allows other operating systems to run, such as Parallels or Fusion), a copy of Windows, and a few hours to download all the updates. A quicker, and cheaper, solution is to find an OS X compatible version of Solitaire.
