To use or throw grenades, select a grenade indicated by its icon from the weapons slot (default is 4), and press the primary attack key. You can also press and hold the primary attack key when wielding grenades to keep it ready. This is very helpful since there is no penalty in holding grenades too long. However, if you do this and you are taken down by an enemy, the grenade will explode and could harm your teammates.
