In Sonic Dash, the Head Start feature allows you to gain an advantage by starting your run with a speed boost. To use it, simply select the Head Start option before starting a new run, which will consume a certain amount of Red Rings, the game’s premium currency. This gives you a head start over the competition, making it easier to achieve higher scores and collect more rings. Remember to manage your Red Rings wisely for optimal use.

First you need to go to the store and buy the boost. The 1000m boost costs 2500 coins and the 2500m boost costs 10000 coins. Once you've bought whichever boost you wish to use, press play. As soon as the game starts, there will be a flashing rounded rectangle in the top centre. Click on it to use the boost or don't if you want to save it for another time. It will go away after a few seconds if you don't click on it and when it does you can't use it until you die and start the game again. Each boost can only be used once.

However, if you want to play it on a PS2, you would need to use an emulator that can run mobile applications, which may not provide optimal performance. Alternatively, you could look for similar endless runner games available on the PS2 platform.
