Using a Gameboy Advance requires both of the following: Two AA Batteries (any kind), and a game. The Gameboy Advance is compatible with Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance games so any of these types of games will work. Above the screen you will see a slot, this is where the games should be placed. Place them so that the front cover of the game is facing away from the screen and make sure you hear a snap when you push it inside. After this place the AA batteries in the back of the console, carefully take off the back cover to reveal were the batteries must be inserted. After putting the batteries in make sure to return the cover where it was (for comfort) and look for the power switch which is located on the bottom of the console (if facing forward its on the bottom right). Move the power switch to the right to turn on the console you should see the Power Light light up (if the batteries are new it will be Green, if they've been used often it may be Red indicated the batteries should be replaced soon). Once the power is on the startup screen will be displayed and the game will load. If the game doesn't load make sure that it was inserted properly (when the startup loads up look for the Nintendo below the Gameboy to be fully seen, if it looks corrupted or blocked by a black rectangle this means the game is not working). Once the game loads up utilize the A and B buttons to perform actions in the game, movement will be the digital pad (the cross on the left), and select and start often are menus in game, and finally L and R (which are on top of the console) these will do various things. If you are playing a Gameboy game or Gameboy Color game you can change the screen mode from normal to wide by pressing L and R.

The Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Color Lead is needed. I have Traded from a GBA-SP to the Original "Brick" Game Boy, using the Game Boy Pocket lead. The GameBoy Advance Lead Looks almost Identical, but does not work with Game Boy Games and Game Boy Color games.
Yes, and the game will be in color.
