1st, make sure there is an unwanted item in the 1st slot of the items pocket. (like Honey)
Than, activate code, go anywhere with grass, press down L+R, then go to item pocket there should be 493 master balls in your first slot, throw away master balls until the number of masterballs equals the national pokedex number of the Pokemon you want.
Than you exit the menu and run through the grass holding L the whole time until a wild Pokemon appears. I usually don't release L until I'm completely sure I got the correct wild Pokemon. The Pokemon will be the same national dex # as the number of masterballs in the 1st slot of your items pocket!
For example, I decide I want a Bulbasaur. First, I activate the Pokemon modifier code. Than, I walk into a patch of grass and press L+R. Than, I press start and go to my bag to find that 493 masterballs has replaced the 1st item in my items pocket. I throw away 492 masterballs and exit out of all the menus. Than I run through the grass holding L until a wild Pokemon appears. I do not release L until I see Bulbasaur's Sprite appear on the screen. Bulbasaur will be the wild Pokemon!
Bear in mind that the wild Pokemon will have levels similar to the wild Pokemon in the area (making it possible to get low-level legendaries!)
