Mounting [getting on] horses is rarely difficult. When mounting a pony, you can either use the stirrup irons to pull yourself up and kick your leg over the pony's backside, then fit your foot in to the opposite stirrup iron, or you can use a mounting block, from which you can swing your leg over, and fit both feet into the stirrup irons as before. Also note that you must always mount from the pony's left side, unless it has been trained otherwise. you must also dismount [get off] from the left side. Hope this helps!
You have to go onto multiplayer then go to vault.
It can't pole-vault because it couldn't hold onto a pole. If it could somehow, it wouldn't have the coordination to move the pole the way it should.

The correct name for a pony's fringe is a "forelock." The forelock is the tuft of hair that falls between a pony's ears and onto its forehead. It can vary in length and thickness, and is often a distinctive feature of the pony's appearance.

to vault on a horse in mounted games or Prince Phillip cup games you have to get the horse/pony to trot alongside you when you are running at it's shoulder. then put your right hand on the pommel (the front of the saddle) and your left hand on the pony's mane. then face the front of the horse and jump along trying to swing your legs upover the saddle. keep praising the horse as you go along and talk to it. GOOD LUCK!!
