Once a sim is moved out of a lot, you are unable to control it. If you wish to control it again, you have to go into edit town mode and make it the active family, or move it back into the house.

In The Sims and The Sims 2, families go into the family bin when they are moved out of a residential lot. In The Sims 3, families have unlimited uses, meaning that they will only disappear out of the bin if deleted.

Visit other sims by walking outside of your house, going to others' houses, community lots etc. The difference between Sims 3 and previous games is that there is no loading screen for when you visit another lot.

How do you erase a house on Sims PC?
In the Neighborhood view, first make sure that you move the Sims out of the house you wish to erase. Click on the Bulldozer icon once you've moved them out. Then click on the house you want gone, and the bulldozer will remove the house from the neighborhood.
