The politicians each get a number (eg our current president, Dilma, had the number 13). They all get their time on tv to talk about their platforms, have debates, etc. Everyone over 18 gets a card in the mail with voting info (not voting is against the law). On the day of voting you go to your station and vote in an electronic ballot machine. If you live in the middle of nowhere in some tiny village they bring the electronic machine to you by boat/plane/car/etc. By the end of voting time that day the winner is announced.
