You aim the hot air at the plastic edges and it melts as you put them together.
Example: "How hot does the flame have to be to weld two pieces of metal together with liquefying them?"
To effectively weld ABS plastic, you can use a plastic welding kit with a hot air gun or a soldering iron specifically designed for plastics. Heat the ABS plastic pieces to be joined until they soften, then press them together firmly to create a strong bond. It is important to practice proper technique and use the right tools to achieve a successful weld.
sure but it will probably take longer than if you use a wire feed. you might have to cut the rod in half to get to tight places. and a stick welder might be to hot and burn through the pipe you use for roll bar
The best techniques for welding ABS plastic involve using a hot air gun or a plastic welding kit to heat the material and create a strong bond. It is important to carefully control the temperature and pressure during the welding process to ensure a successful weld.
The energy involved in a red hot welder's rivet is primarily thermal energy. This is the energy generated by the heat required to melt the metal surfaces being welded together, allowing them to fuse and form a strong bond. Additional energy may also be needed to apply pressure or force to create the weld.
I understand that some places use hot pressurized air to weld plastic. YOu may want to research plastic welding. However, because there is such a large market for used parts; it may be cheaper to get one off of a wreck rather than repair.

You can rent these machines at a welding supply company as Airgas or Modern Supply. Sometimes PVC pipe outlets or rubber and plastic distributors will have them.
It is usually done by a form of hot air welding. You would have to find out more from the supplier or manufacturer of the particular pipe in question.
Plastic welding is typically done using techniques such as hot gas welding, friction welding, or ultrasonic welding. These methods involve heating the plastic material to a melting point and then bonding the pieces together to create a strong weld. It is important to use the proper technique and equipment for the specific type of plastic being welded to ensure a successful bond.
Holts Wonda Weld can be used to seal the head gasket in place of a hot welder. The seal will hold the head gasket together until it can be properly repaired. It is not a permanent solution.
I doubt it. The hot water tanks is not only hot, but it is under pressure. There are some industrial epoxies out there that may work. I skilled!! welder might be able to fix it. Unfortunately, I would say that a new tank might be the only solution.
