There are 5 cryptids, or legendary creatures, that need to be confirmed as real. One (the giant squid) has already been confirmed, so the four remaining are the Yeti (Bigfoot), the Loch Ness Monster (Nessie), the Chupacabra (goat sucker), and the Jersey Devil (flying demon).
By visiting four locations in the world where these have been seen, you find evidence that proves they exist. This requires more than one trip in some cases. When three of the Cryptids are confirmed, you can follow the last one (Bigfoot) and save him from a ruthless fortune hunter.
