The new bulb is simply plugged back in after it is installed.

There are 3 wing nuts holding the headlight bracket. Remove these and unplug wire going to headlight. Remove bracket from van and then the headlight can be removed from bracket.

You don't need a schematic. Just remove the wires, note and label their position, and reinstall the the same way.
Check for a loose or broken ground wire at the headlight.
Either your headlight is burned out or you have a broken wire. You can check it out with a volt meter.
The most likely cause is a broken wire or blown fuse.

there is no accesory switch wire on the 02 malibu.....you must run your accessory wire from your aftermarket radio to the thick brown wire coming out of the ignition to the left of the radio bay and put a fuse in the wire close to where you tapped into the brown wire on the wire from your radio also your door chimes will work again
