After launching GarageBand select GarageBand Help from the Help menu and then select the Getting Started option. THis provides step by step instructions for using GarageBand.
No, you cannot. Garageband is for Macs only.
Garageband should be in the Applications folder of every MacBook.
It should come with your Mac but you could probably get it on the app store for macs
A new MacBook comes with iLife '09 which includes iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb, iDVD.
All Macs come with the iLife software suit that includes Garageband.
Garageband is part of the iLife software suite (See links below) and is included with all new Macs. If you do not have it you will need to buy it. The current version (iLIfe '11) willnot work on an iBook. You will need to find an earlier version that is compatible with your iBook - there have been several versions of the iBook.
Some Microsoft programs work on Macs. If you have an old Mac, it will most likely not work. You need to have new and updated Macs. You also need to make sure you buy a Microsoft program that works with Macs.
The iPad's version of Garageband will not work on an iPhone.
Nope...Garageband is made by Apple, Ableton is made by Ableton. If you want a more advanced program by apple that is very compatible with Garageband, get Logic. That's what I use - Logic is used by a lot of the pros, in fact, the creator of dubstep himself, Skream, uses Logic. I love it and I can convert all of my garageband files straight to Logic. They also work very similarly, except Logic is a billion times better. I have used Ableton, and I like it a lot, but Logic is just better for my purposes....their both great...be warned, however, that Logic only works on Macs.
To import GarageBand projects into Logic Pro, you can simply open Logic Pro and go to the File menu. From there, select "Import GarageBand for iOS Song" or "Import GarageBand for Mac Song" depending on the version of GarageBand you are using. Choose the GarageBand project you want to import and Logic Pro will convert it into a Logic Pro project for you to work on.
no
Garageband is only for Mac. But a free alternative would be Mixcraft 5. It is a ver powerful tool for Windows that is kind of like Garageband's twin.
