the seats lean forward by pulling up the grey handle to the side of the seat. which also allows the seats to recline a little. Once the seat backs have been leant forward, you can remove the seat completely by lifting the red handle at the rear of the seat, this allows the base of the seat to lean forward, if you press the red lever again whilst the seat base is vertical, you can lift the entire seat up and out.

How do you get to the battery in a citroen xsara Picasso without removing the passenger seat?

The passenger seat tilts forward. Either push it fully back or fully forward (can't remember which one) and there is a little lock, like you have on the rear seats, push that down and lift the seat giving you plenty of room to work on the battery.

What does the orange light on the far right mean on a citroen Picasso?

have a scan on it most probably come up with p0400 code get some redex to clear out fuel system if not work its something to do with the fuel system It could be a simple missfire. Mine did it a few years back because of damp weather. Citroen charged me £35 to diagnose the problem but couldnt tell me what it was. It is back on now and causes me no problems. It is just an engine management fault. If your worried get it checked out but be prepared to pay for it.

Citroen xsara Picasso 2l hdi reversing lights don't work have checked fuse and bulbs what else?

There is a switch on the gear box itself that can go duff, this is where the reversing lights get there signal/power from, if you traced it back I bet you need a new switch on the gear box! not too expensive to fix but you need to be under the car, use ramps and chocks to secure before you do it, or get your local tyre spot to do it for you after you have bought the switch yourself, Citroen would charge you over a hundred to do it??

What are common faults on the Citroen Picasso?

the xsara Picasso's are quite reliable, which shows in that it is one of Citroen's longest running models and underwent very few changes it was only recently phased out to be replaced by the less reliable C4 picasso. It depends on which Picasso you are on about and which engine. the C4 Picasso petrols are known for lambda sensor faults and had quite a lot of recalls for various problems. the diesel engines can be prone to emission control system faults or DPF as it is known. the Xsara Picasso as I say was very reliable with no real common faults. if it is a looked after car it will give years of service and it is not unknown for them to go for 200k+ in the diesel and 150k+ petrols I used to work for citroen and we serviced a few Xsara Pic diesels with 300 400k on the clock and one even had over 500k on the clock but that was on its second engine as the first one blew up at 150k due to customer overfilling oil. the 2.0HDI 110hp unit is probably Citroens finest diesel engine and the block is still used as the base for many of its current diesel engines.
