There is a switch on the gear box itself that can go duff, this is where the reversing lights get there signal/power from, if you traced it back I bet you need a new switch on the gear box! not too expensive to fix but you need to be under the car, use ramps and chocks to secure before you do it, or get your local tyre spot to do it for you after you have bought the switch yourself, Citroen would charge you over a hundred to do it??

To change the reversing light switch on a Citroën Picasso, first, ensure the vehicle is safely parked and the ignition is off. Locate the reversing light switch, usually found on the gearbox or near the transmission. Install the new switch by reversing the removal process, reconnect the electrical connector, and test the lights to ensure proper functionality.
In a Citroën Picasso, the dashboard lights may illuminate when the car is locked as a part of the vehicle's security and alert system. This feature serves to indicate that the vehicle is armed and to confirm that locking has been successfully completed. Additionally, it can help alert the owner to any issues, such as a door not being fully closed. If the lights remain on for an extended period, it could indicate a malfunction that should be checked.
