Unfortunately for the person asking this question, the answer is you don't - your
physician does. My guess is that you are asking this question because you have somehow managed to obtain blank prescription forms and plan on writing the prescription all on your own.
Please know this is fraud and you'll get busted about 35-40% of the time.
Remember the arrest of Noelle Bush? The daughter of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, you know - the Niece of President George W. Bush?? She was arrested for prescription fraud.
FYI - Prescription Fraud is punishable by up to 5 years in prison
Depends if you want slow release (oxycontin) or immediate release (oxyIR) oxycodone and the frequency. I am assuming 10mg per day twice a day for Oxycontin and usually every 4-6 hours for IR. Here's both:
Oxycontin 10mg
10mg PO q12h
OxyIR 10mg
10mg PO q6h or 10mg PO qid
If it is available in that strength where you live then you must be from somewhere that patent law has been 'loopholed' as the patent does not expite until 2016 and oxycodone (not the m/r version Oxycontin) is sold only in capsules of Oxynorm 5, 10, & 20mg, and oral solutions 1mg/mL & concentrated 10mg/mL, as well as the vials for injection. Patent is held by NAPP, Purdue & Mundipharma. Generics are forbidden umder imyernational patent until 2016, 20 yrs after the introduction to market.
The answer is that you see a doctor and tell him/her that your pain requires that amount. It is usually given four times daily, having a half life of 4.5 hours. Why should there be a problem? I use oxycodone because it is a better analgesic than morphine salts, and does not produce the nausea associated with morphine. An alternative is dipipanone, which contains 30mg cyclizine, as in Cyclimorph, to counter any nausea. That is only available in 10mg Diconal tablets. 40mg Diconal would be equivalent to 20mg Oxynorm.
Isn't this just the question 'how do I get a prescription?' All medicines are the same, you ASK.
Oxycontin 30 mg aid #120
a round pill with 30 on it.
generic for oxycontin 30
A Prescription for the Blues was created on 30-05-29.
It most definitely is why do you think it says 30mg instead of 20mg
You write it as 30/200.You write it as 30/200.You write it as 30/200.You write it as 30/200.
Probably. The colors differ from brand to brand. You can check drugs.com and click pill identifier to double check. This is oxycontnin though, a very powerful and addictive drug, so if you were not prescribed if you should not be taking it.
Nothing if you had a prescription. If you did not have a prescription for them then you could be in trouble. It is illegal to have possession of narcotics without a prescription.
Percocet doesn't come in a dosage of 30 - it comes in 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10mg tabs, in addition to the amount of Tylenol it contains (usually 325 or 650mg's). However, OxyContin is a chronic pain drug (lasting 8-12hrs) while Percocet is for acute and breakthrough pain, and Percocet or Vicodin is often prescribed as a breakthrough med with OxyContin, usually in 2.5 or 5mg doses. OxyContin is a timed-release version of Oxycodone, which is the primary drug in Percocet, which is a combination of Oxycodone and Tylenol.
If It is the Oxycontin pill then just put it in a glass of water and wait 20-30 minutes. Otherwise if its pure Oxycontin I have no clue how to dissolve that. But you can burn it in a fire but it will almost dissolve instantly but is good for a fire starter.
Yes he can do that. As long as he did not prescribe over a 3 month supply on a single prescription, it is fine. By law, C-II medications, such as Adderall, can NOT have any refills, meaning the patient must return to the Dr. everytime a refill is needed to obtain a new prescription. A doctor can write up to a 3 month's supply of medication on a single prescription, BUT insurance companies will only PAY for a ONE month supply of medication at a time. If you pay out of pocket, you can get all 3 month's worth on a single prescription. Therefore, if a doctor was to write you a single prescription for 60 Adderalls at 20 mg each (20 mg of adderall ONCE a day), the insurance company would only pay for 30 pills, since that is a ONE month supply (1 pill/day x 30 days = 30 pills) By writing the prescription as 2 pills/day, the insurance company will pay for all 60 pills, since they will be under the impression a one month supply is 60 pills (2 pills/day x 30 days = 60 pills). Not illegal, just sneaky (& smart)
30 years
30 and probably some other marking depending on the brand or the generics etc.
