How do you write an essay about science?

First, write down everything you know about the subject - this is where you do your homework and actually look up information.

Now, make each line you've written into a complete sentence and put them into some sort of logical order. Pretend you're explaining this to a friend and add enough extra information to explain each line. Make each line and explanation into one paragraph.

Add an introduction at the beginning to explain what the essay is about, and a conclusion at the end to summarize the main points - and there's your essay!
