First, replace any "I'm not" parts in the song with "i ain't." Next, you have to have at least 3 verses. it helps to already have a good or bad experience that you can write about. if you do, it makes it alot easier! This is the basic outline:
Verse 1
Chorus
Verse 2
Chorus
Verse 3
Chorus
Ending (repeating the last few words or something like that)
also, make sure that all the verses make sense with the chorus. Don't have a sad chorus, but then happy verses. Also, make sure that it doesn't have a really pop-like tune. make sure you incorporate stuff from the country, like railroad tracks, tractors, old Chevy trucks ect. Also, if you just sit down to write a song, and don't have any ideas, you won't be able to write a good song. it helps A LOT if you already have an idea, stanza, or line in your head, so you will have at least have some structure. Plus, if you haven't noticed, pretty much all country songs are about love, so that's a BIGGY in this business!

Practice plenty, write some good songs - well, write a lot of songs, there's a higher chance of having more good ones that way, since everyone puts out bad ones - and get out there.
